The brief
Elections depend on people knowing how to take part. That means registering at 18, checking their name on the electoral roll, and correcting their details. It also means knowing who their Booth Level Officer (BLO) is.
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand represents the Election Commission of India in the state. It needed a voter awareness campaign that could reach first-time voters in the cities and families in villages. The messages had to be in Hindi, and they had to make people stop and watch.
Our approach
Instead of a single advert, we built a campaign that used each medium for what it does best. Short TV commercials explained one action at a time. Short films put real BLOs at the centre of the story. Outdoor and print carried the campaign line across the state. Websites gave contests and programmes a home online.
Television and YouTube
We wrote and produced a series of public-service commercials. Each one answers a single question a voter might ask:
- Turned 18: is it time to register?
- Is your name on another state's voter list?
- How do I fill Form 8?
- What does the enumeration in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) involve?
Spots for National Voters' Day and the 2024 Jharkhand Assembly Elections followed the same rule: one message, said clearly.
BLO stories
Booth Level Officers keep the roll accurate, one household at a time. We made short documentary films about BLOs such as Savita Devi, Balika Sardar, and Nirodi Hamrom. We also produced the Salute to BLO award campaign that recognised their work.
Hoardings, posters, and print
For outdoor we designed large-format hoardings with lines such as *Every Vote Matters*, *I Vote For Sure*, and *#KnowYourBLO*. Posters covered the voter awareness contest, National Voters' Day, and verified-voter messages. We also designed a coffee table book on the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 in Jharkhand.
Websites
We designed and built campaign websites, including the BLO programme site and the Jharkhand voter awareness contest site, through our website design team.
The documentary: Jharkhand Election
Alongside the campaign, we produced the documentary *Jharkhand Election*, directed by Vivek Upadhyay. It follows how an election is delivered across the state.
The film won Best Documentary Short at the MEI International Film Festival 2025. It also won Best Documentary at the 6th Nirmal Pandey Smriti Film Festival 2025. At Veda Dock Bazaar 2026, it was one of five films from Jharkhand selected from 155 titles. See more of our work as documentary film makers in Jharkhand.
What the client said
K. Ravi Kumar, IAS, Chief Electoral Officer-cum-Secretary, wrote: "On behalf of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, I extend my sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to your entire team for your exceptional creative support and dedicated collaboration in our various communication and outreach initiatives."
The partnership has continued: the Chief Electoral Officer joined us at our Ranchi studio to record a podcast on the SIR enumeration.
